Beginning on January 18, 2023, ACCESS will return.  While the time period during which this will occur has changed,  our most important goal remains: Preparing students to be good self-advocates during ACCESS.  

November 28

Faculty Review and Edficiency Introduction in Department PLC's of the whole.

December 7

Student Introduction to ACCESS.  We will run this special Bell Schedule and keep students in 2nd hour.

We will dry-run the process.  Students will NOT attend ACCESS on this Wednesday.

Each PLC/course will develop a metric to guide assignments.
"What criteria will we use to guide which
​students will be assigned to ACCESS?"
These could include, but are not limited to:
  • Current grade or performance
  • Skill or organization help
  • Extra, more personal support needed
  • Make-up assignments or assessments *
* ACCESS is not intended to be a make-up period.

★ How can prepare students to be better SELF-ADVOCATES?

Students need to be prompted about their own advocacy...it's not something that they will think about unless we ask them to. Without ADVOCACY, not program, time period, process or software will make this work.
